High Resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) is possible using an Electrostatic Monochromator on a LIBRA 200 Series Energy Filtered Transmission Electron Microscope (EFTEM) from Carl Zeiss.
For the micro- and nanoscopic analysis of the structure and precipitations, scientists typically use both light and electron microscopes. The Carl Zeiss "Shuttle & Find" interface provides seamless integratioin between these two complimemtary technologies.
This course is for scientists and engineers trained in their own disciplines and now needing understanding of the concepts and practices employed in the science and technology of advanced materials. Metals, ceramics, polymers and composite materials are all studied.
The Introduction to Composite Materials course is a five day intensive course covering the essential concepts and practices of Composite Materials. The course will benefit those with no previous formal introduction to the science of composites.
